About Bill's

I'm Shawn and I own billscharts.com. William is my middle name and "Shawn" has three spellings so I just went with "Bill's." Few things make me happier than Day Trading Futures. I enjoy the freedom from the rat race and I hate when the closing bell rings on Friday. I started my Day Trading journey in 2006, part time at first and then full time in 2009. In addition to trading my own futures account, I've held my Series 7 license with two different firms for about 4 of those years. I also spent 8 years working with the good people at linnsoft.com to help them build better trading software and take care of their customers. I've traded a lot of things: Futures, Stocks, Options, Forex, Equity Pairs Trading and even Binary options (don't try that, it's a rip off). But I always return to trading futures vs. stocks

Other Interests/Fun Facts

In addition to trading, I've also owned a handful of business's over the years (7 to be exact). Just like you can buy a stock low and sell high, 2 or 3 of those business's were bought and sold inside a 2 year period (flips). I've also owned apartment buildings (had 35 tenants at one point). Most of that property was also flipped within a few years. I owned a Mortgage Company from 2001 to 2009 and gladly walked away to trade full time when the market melted down in 2009.

For fun, I enjoy running and working out. I also play music. From 2006-2011 I played drums in a band that performed about 100 shows a year in the Mid-Atlantic area. I have three great kids (two still in college, one already graduated).
